#24: Froot, Fruit, Close Enough
Oh man, it almost makes me nervous to post this one, out of fear that it is going to bring the Mandela effect conspiracy theorists down on our heads. The Mandela effect, if you haven’t heard about this before, is when multiple people all misremember something the same way, and rather than understanding that as just a function of how the human brain works, some people have decided that it all means something.

In this case, all it means is that most of us just glance at the box and assume we know how they spell the word without looking any closer, because we assume it’d be spelled “fruit,” like a sane person would do. It does not mean that a bunch of people are getting a glimpse into a parallel universe where the cereal is spelled “Fruit Loops.”
