The hashtag #ThanksgivingClapBack was trending on Twitter a few years ago. Some of the comebacks people posted were pure gold. This snarky one-liner from @LexUpNext is one of the best ones we’ve seen. Older relatives are always making passive aggressive comments about how their younger family members choose to dress, do their hair, and present themselves to the world.
If you’ve ever been on the receiving end of these comments, you know how annoying it is! The last time Lex’s aunt decided to criticize their tattoos, they were ready to shut her down. Their aunt commented that tattoos are “a lifetime commitment,” and they responded, “But your marriage wasn’t.” Boom. If you have the guts to try this takedown with one of your annoying family members, go for it.
