In 1927, Jefferson Green, an employee at Southland Ice, revolutionized convenience by selling eggs, bread, and milk under the brand name 7-Eleven, named for its extended opening hours. This concept quickly gained popularity, marking the start of a massive retail success.

Over the years, 7-Eleven flourished across America, becoming a household name. Despite facing challenges like the 1987 financial crisis, it found a new beginning when acquired by the Japanese company Ito-Yokado, now a subsidiary of Seven & i Holdings.
